High growth at Vue

High growth at Vue

Sought-after Robina is a leading South East Queensland development hub

High-growth Robina, at the heart of Gold Coast City, is currently home to almost $1billion worth of development activity.

This activity spans a range of residential, commercial, community and major infrastructure projects.  Development is underpinned by strong demand generated by Robina’s high population growth.  As recently reported here, Robina’s resident population is growing at a much faster rate than the rest of Gold Coat City, and Queensland as a whole.

The $170million Vue Terrace Homes community, now in the final stages of construction, is surrounded by a number of current and future projects, set to further transform the already beating heart of Gold Coast City, Robina.

Surrounding developments recently completed, under way or due to commence shortly within Robina include:

  • Quest Hotel – nearing completion (pictured)
  • Robina City Parklands – under construction adjacent to Vue (pictured)
  • Aquity Business Park – under construction
  • Anytime Fitness gym – under construction
  • Arcadia College – under construction (pictured)
  • Odyssey Private Aged Care – under construction
  • Bond University expansion – coming soon
  • Robina Rise Aged Care – recently completed
  • Sunkids Children’s Centre – recently completed

Quest Hotel Robina, opening May 2020

Robina’s first hotel is now well under construction in Stadium Village, opposite the train station, with the scaffolding starting to come down and signage now in place.  Quest Robina is on track for completion next year, to cater mainly to business travellers.  The 8 storey, $32 million mixed-use development by Pellicano and Quest Apartment Hotels cements Robina’s place as a strong commercial centre for Gold Coast City.

Quest’s General Manager, James Shield, identified Robina’s low office vacancy, strong sporting, retail and health sectors and iconic commercial towers as major attractions to Australasia’s largest and fastest-growing hotel operator’s first development in Gold Coast City.

Pellicano Managing Director, Nando Pellicano said, “the key drivers of an in-demand product remain constant despite market fluctuation; quality design, in-demand location and uncomplicated access to premium residential and lifestyle amenities.”

“The convenient location and ease of access to lifestyle amenities paired with Quest’s solid reputation for delivering quality accommodation ensures our confidence in the success of this project.”

Gold Coast City Councillor, Hermann Vorster said the project would be the perfect fit for the area and a centrepiece development for the emerging stadium precinct.

“The development will capitalise on Robina’s reputation as an emerging sporting, health and commercial centre and is ideally placed on great public transport.”

Robina City Parklands

Government investment in Robina continues, with City of Gold Coast breaking ground this year on their $15 million Robina City Parklands project. The lush green space is  located directly adjacent to Vue Terrace Homes.  Transformation of the parklands into Gold Coast City’s own ‘Central Park’ is now underway.  The 17 hectare green space will be home to two adventure playgrounds, a cafe, a picnic lawn, a village green and a 7,000 capacity performance stage. Gold Coast City residents will have free access to the parklands, extensive walking trails, viewing platforms, kayak launch spots and fishing nodes, as well as a multi-use community structure with cafe. Vue Terrace Home residents will enjoy exclusive direct access to the parklands from the gated community. See main image and masterplan.

Arcadia College

This private education facility for 300 students is now under construction in Stadium Village, after receiving support from Council.  Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said the Planning Committee endorsed plans for the new school, which will be operated by Arcadia College on a site close to Bond University’s Institute of Health & Sport and Robina’s Train Station & Transport Hub.

Anytime Fitness Stadium Village Gym

Vue Terrace Home purchaser Angus Terry has recently relocated to the Gold Coast from Sydney to live at this exciting new Robina address.  He also purchased a site within the sought-after Stadium Village precinct to develop a brand new Anytime Fitness gym, directly across the road from Vue.  Mr Terry said Robina offers dual appeal to both live and work, being highly accessible to the rest of Gold Coast City and beyond.  Vue Terrace Homes ticked all the boxes for location, lifestyle and luxury aesthetics for Mr Terry and his family.  Robina’s growth and momentum as a CBD, together with close proximity to Robina Town Centre, CBus Super Stadium and transport were the key drivers in his decision to open the new gymnasium business.

Construction of this impressive new gym is now well underway and it is due to open shortly.

Bond University Expansion

Leading private university, Bond University will further contribute to Robina’s ongoing momentum, recently securing a 9,524sqm development site on Promethean Way. The site is located opposite Vue, adjacent to the existing Bond Institute of Health and Sport campus, on the doorstep of CBus Super Stadium.  Bond University has not confirmed plans for the site, however it’s expected the university will strategically expand their medical/sporting offering within Robina’s thriving learning and health hub.  Bond’s total Stadium Village landholding is now 16,610 square metres, as shown on the plan above.

Sunkids Children’s Centre Stadium Village

A growing centre for education, Robina is now home to three Sunkids Childrens Centres. The newest of these cutting edge early childhood education centres was recently opened in the prime location of Stadium Village, directly opposite Vue Terrace Homes. The opening of a third Robina centre reflects the high demand for child care and growth of the area. Sunkids operator, Kinder Educentres chief executive cited the proximity to Robina Train Station, Bond University Institute of Health and Sport, Robina Public and Private Hospitals and the Vue Terrace Home community as key drivers to the development of the latest centre.  Robina’s thriving business centre and future growth predictions, including a projection for the population to treble and workforce to double between now and 2050, further underpin the high demand for quality child care within Robina.
